Must be over 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalency, and reliable transportation. Must pass a background check (FBI & BCI) and physical. Must complete state required trainings for working in childcare. An Lead Infant Teacher will provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and reach age appropriate milestones. You will verbally engage the infants throughout the day in addition to incorporating play activities. Some of the infant teacher responsibilities will be: Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in his/her care Give bottles to infants as provided by parents Feed infants' solid foods as age appropriate and provided by parents Change diapers as needed Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys Lesson planning Activity planning Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean Desired skills and experience: Must meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency. Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred. Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib. Must pass a BCI/FBI background check. Must have a high school diploma or GED Must pass and complete a physical
