In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development will help foster a love of learning and support each child's unique growth trajectory. The ideal candidate is dedicated, communicative, and experienced in working with children from toddler to preschool age, with a strong understanding of curriculum development and classroom management strategies. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with high quality preschool standards and incorporate self help, social, emotional, literacy, math, physical education. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management techniques, active supervision and conscious discipline that promote respect, independence, and social-emotional growth. Support early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays by collaborating with specialists and applying inclusive teaching practices. Conduct assessments to monitor each child's progress, utilizing Teaching Strategies Gold to inform instruction and communicate growth to parents. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that encourages curiosity and active participation from all students. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development instruction, childcare best practices, mandated reporting laws, and early childhood education trends. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school connections. Skills Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and some early intervention techniques. Proven experience in preschool teaching with a focus on classroom management and behavior management strategies. Strong curriculum development skills across various subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Ability to adapt teaching approaches for children with special needs or developmental delays while adhering to mandated reporting laws. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists effectively. Familiarity with standardized assessment procedures used in early childhood settings to assess student progress. Experience working in daycare settings or private preschools is preferred; certification in early childhood education is required Knowledge of child welfare standards and best practices for toddler care and childcare environments.
