Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes the holistic development of infants. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners, support their growth milestones, and ensure a safe, stimulating space for exploration and learning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of children's lives while working within a collaborative and supportive setting. Duties Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate and aligned with curriculum standards. Design and implement innovative lesson plans focused on early childhood education principles, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies to create a respectful and inclusive environment. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special needs related to early intervention or special education. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and interns, fostering professional growth within the team. Maintain accurate documentation of each child's development, attendance, and assessments in accordance with licensing requirements. Ensure health, safety, and welfare standards are consistently met in compliance with childcare regulations. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, preferably with toddlers or infants. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices, including Montessori and other educational philosophies. Demonstrated skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methods. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners. Prior experience in preschool or daycare environments; private school experience is a plus. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields; additional credentials in special education or Montessori methods are advantageous. Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
