Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and faith-centered Early Childhood/Elementary Teacher to join our Christian school community. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, hands-on learning, and fostering a classroom environment grounded in Christian values. This teacher will partner with families and colleagues to support the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional development of each child. Mission Alignment Our teachers view education as a ministry and embrace the opportunity to model Christ-like character, cultivate a strong sense of community, and integrate faith naturally throughout the school day. Instruction is designed to engage students actively, encourage curiosity, and help children discover their God-given gifts. Key Responsibilities Create a warm, structured, and Christ-centered classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged Design and implement developmentally appropriate, hands-on lessons that support academic growth and active learning Integrate biblical principles and Christian worldview into daily instruction, routines, and interactions Foster a strong classroom community that emphasizes kindness, responsibility, collaboration, and respect Support the whole child by addressing academic, social, emotional, and spiritual needs Use a variety of instructional strategies, including experiential learning, small-group instruction, and play-based or project-based activities (as appropriate by grade level) Observe, assess, and document student progress; communicate regularly with families regarding growth and needs Partner with colleagues, administrators, and families to support a unified school mission Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and community activities Maintain classroom organization, materials, and learning spaces that encourage exploration and independence
