Child Care Assistant

Please read the entirety of this job before applying. Must have open availability Monday-Friday 5:30 am -5:30 pm as the schedule varies. Must be able to pass a background check through the State We are looking to hire an addotional part-time experienced Child Care Assistant for our Preschool/Toddler classrooms in Albany, OR!

Some of the responsibilities include:

Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs Meal prep and serving for up to 16 children End of day cleaning and sanitizing Able to assist in preschool prep and teaching Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children Supervising and care for the physical and emotional wellbeing of our infants and toddlers in the infant/toddler room.

Qualifications:

Passion for early childhood education Excellent organizational skills Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team A genuine desire to help children achieve their full potential Must have open availability, Monday through Friday 5:30 AM-5:30 PM as the schedule changes Detail oriented Ability to cook for a large group Ability to multitask quickly Ability to pass a criminal background check through The Department of Early Learning and Care Ability to plan and carry out daily activities with children Ability to obtain a Oregon Food Handlers Card Ability and willing to take a few classes including but not limited to Infant, Child and Adult CPR and First Aid Ability to Clean quickly and efficiently Dependability Must have infant and toddler experience.
