If you love engaging with young children, supporting a collaborative teaching team, and contributing to a warm, community-centered school environment, this role may be a perfect fit. Support Teachers work closely with Lead Teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally rich classroom environment. This role is active, hands-on, and essential to the daily rhythm of the classroom. You'll help implement Creative Curriculum, engage children in meaningful play, and contribute to observations and documentation in TS Gold. Key Responsibilities Support the Lead Teacher in implementing Creative Curriculum and Spark/QRIS standards Engage children in age‑appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Build warm, positive relationships with children and families Participate in daily observations and documentation for TS Gold Assist with toileting, changing, and hygiene routines Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment Communicate professionally with families and staff Support substitutes, float teachers, and volunteers in following classroom routines Help maintain accurate records and follow all USDA, state, and program policies Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development Step into a classroom leadership role when needed and help in other classrooms as assigned Qualifications Required Minimum 1 year of professional childcare experience Step in the Oregon Registry (or ability to obtain) Strong communication skills and reliability Understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in active indoor/outdoor play Current or ability to obtain: Infant/Child CPR & First Aid Oregon Food Handler's Card Oregon Background Registry enrollment Required DELC trainings Preferred Associate's degree in ECE or related field with 30+ ECE credits Step 7 or higher in the Oregon Registry Experience with Creative Curriculum and TS Gold Why Join Parkside?
