Florence, Oregon Now Hiring:
Full-Time Teachers Schedule:
Monday-Friday | Shifts between 7:00am-6:00pm
Pay:
$19
  • 25 per hour (based on experience, education, and licensing qualifications) Help Build Something Meaningful Stepping Stones Center for Early Learning is opening September 2026 and is seeking dedicated educators to join our founding team serving children ages 0-5.
Stepping Stones builds upon years of experience serving families through our established home program and is expanding into a Certified Child Care Center to serve more children in our community. This is a unique opportunity to help build classroom systems, shape instructional practices, and contribute to a relationship-based early learning program from the very beginning. Placement as Teacher or Lead Teacher will be determined based on experience, education, and Oregon licensing qualifications. Our Philosophy We are a relationship-based program grounded in developmentally appropriate practice.

Position Responsibilities (All Age Groups) Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences Create a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment Establish predictable routines that support regulation and independence Use positive guidance and co-regulation strategies Maintain active supervision and licensing ratios Observe, document, and communicate children's development Build collaborative, professional relationships with families Maintain compliance with Oregon Child Care Licensing regulations Lead Teacher placements will also mentor and support Teacher Aides. Age-Specific Focus Toddler Teacher Structured routines with warmth and clear boundaries Language development and emotional regulation Independence-building environments Curriculum Framework Scaffolding and extending learning through purposeful play Preschool Teacher Early literacy, math, and problem-solving through purposeful play and hands-on experiences Kindergarten readiness foundations Executive functioning and social-emotional growth Curriculum Framework Scaffolding and extending learning through purposeful play Qualifications 18 years or older High school diploma or GED Meet Oregon Teacher or Lead Teacher qualification pathways Enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry (or willing to enroll) Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain) Ability to actively supervise and lift up to 50 lbs Experience with relevant age group preferred Commitment to inclusion, equity, and culturally responsive practice Support is provided for required certifications and ongoing professional development.

Lead Teacher:
$23
