Part-Time Childcare Assistant Needed! Busy Bees Cottage Care -
Keizer, OR Position Start Date:
July/flexible 2026 Part-time, approximately 18-20 hours per week. Most likely will be 7AM-12:30PM Monday-Thursday, with the last week of every month being 7AM-4:30PM Thursday & Friday. 18-20 hours a week. Potential for increased hours as the program grows!
Responsibilities:
Assist with supervising children during indoor and outdoor play Support daily routines, including meals, snacks, diapering, and toileting Help facilitate age-appropriate activities, crafts, and learning experiences Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment Assist with nap time and transitions throughout the day Model positive behavior and help guide children using respectful, developmentally appropriate practices Work collaboratively with the provider to ensure the needs of all children are met
Qualifications:
Experience working with young children and infants Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Positive attitude and strong communication skills Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day Must be eligible for enrollment in Oregon's Central Background Registry (CBR) Willingness to complete required licensing trainings, including
Pediatric First Aid/CPR What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with children. Building strong relationships with our daycare families is our top priority, so we are looking for someone who is warm, approachable, and values open communication with both children and parents.

Licensed family in-home childcare program located in Keizer, OR Small group setting with individualized care Play-based learning approach with preschool curriculum during the school year Outdoor play, field trips, and hands-on learning experiences Supportive, family-oriented environment where relationships with children and families are at the heart of everything we do
Growth Opportunity:
This position is part-time to start, with the potential to transition into a full-time role after one to one and a half years based on program needs, performance, and continued growth of Busy Bees Cottage Care.
