Job Description
Job Overview I am seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join my vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages. Your enthusiasm for working with children and your commitment to their development will help foster positive growth, learning, and social skills. Responsibilities Support lead teachers in implementing engaging activities that promote childhood development and learning Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure comfort and safety Provide attentive supervision to children, ensuring their well-being at all times during activities and transitions Foster positive behavior management techniques to encourage cooperation and social skills among children Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care when needed Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Group management skills and the ability to handle behavior management effectively Communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with children and families Ability to work flexible hours including mornings and afternoons.
