Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Weekend Child Care Worker to provide engaging, nurturing, and safe care for children during weekend hours. In this role, you will create a positive environment that promotes childhood development, learning, and fun. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a supportive space where children feel secure and encouraged to explore their interests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working flexible weekend hours. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood education and development. Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols. Implement behavior management strategies to foster positive social interactions and emotional growth. Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's activities, progress, or concerns. Maintain a clean, organized play area that complies with health and safety standards. Support classroom or activity-based learning experiences by assisting teachers or caregivers as needed. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable to ensure quick response in emergencies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong skills in behavior management, caregiving, toddler care, infant care, and preschool activities. Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, and team members in a professional manner. Demonstrated commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment that supports childhood growth and learning.
