Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and independence. Support children's social-emotional growth by encouraging communication skills, conflict resolution, and self-regulation techniques. Conduct ongoing assessments of each child's progress using standardized testing methods and observational techniques to tailor instruction effectively. Collaborate with families to discuss developmental milestones, behavioral concerns, and progress reports, ensuring clear communication about each child's welfare. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration while adhering to childcare safety standards. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong background in childhood development principles. Knowledge of curriculum development practices across early childhood education disciplines such as literacy education, math instruction, and physical education. Prior classroom management experience with toddlers or preschoolers; familiarity with Montessori or other specialized teaching methods is a plus. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities and differentiated instruction for diverse learners. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage families in their child's educational journey. Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields; experience with special education or early intervention programs is advantageous. Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while fostering an inclusive environment that promotes child welfare and emotional well-being.
