Job Description

Are you looking to work with children in a fun, supportive, positive environment? If so, South Hills is seeking full time early childhood teachers for our progressive program for young children, and we want to talk with you! Required Qualifications:
At least two years experience work with young children
Preferred Skills:
CDA, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in early childhood education Experience working with two year olds Knowledge of Project Approach and Reggio Emilia Exemplary communication skills with children, colleagues, and parents Ability to collaborate while maintaining a strong community approach to education, focusing on the whole child Proficiency in using technology for authentic assessments, parent communication, and newsletters Passion for developmentally appropriate practices
Responsibilities:
Teachers implement Project Approach incorporating inquiry and provocations. The arts are a high priority as are writing, reading, math, science, engineering, technology, music, multiculturalism, fine and large motor skills. Teachers enjoy a strong community of colleagues, children, and parents who work collaboratively to ensure success for all students. Teachers gain skills and confidence working in a pleasant environment while sharing solid research based educational strategies in small group settings with children ages 2-3.
