Daycare Teacher

Job Summary:

The Daycare Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children . This role involves direct care, supervision, and support of children's daily activities, ensuring their well-being and development throughout the day. Positions will be working with Older Toddlers/PreK-aged children and/or Younger Toddlers and/or Infants. Candidates with less than 2 years experience can be considered for Aide/Assistant Teacher roles with eligibility for promotion to teacher once meeting minimum experience requirement. Hiring and Retention Bonuses available at 90 days, 6 months & 1 year tied to successful training completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise children in a safe and secure environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and learning activities to support social, emotional, and physical development. Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, diapering, and personal hygiene. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating space for play and learning. Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance and support as needed. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns. Collaborate with fellow staff and the Daycare Director to support program goals. Adhere to health, safety, and licensing regulations. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. 2 years' previous experience working with young children required. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A caring, patient, and energetic attitude. Candidates must pass all required background checks and complete the required Health & Safety training.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a licensed day care setting. Advanced certification in early childhood education Experience using

Brightwheel Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed, including assisting children, moving classroom equipment, and handling supplies. Regularly required to bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and engage in active play with children. Must be able to stand and move for extended periods throughout the day.
