Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Lead Toddler 1 Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire growth, curiosity, and confidence in our youngest learners. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula tailored to toddler development stages, and foster a warm, supportive environment that promotes social-emotional and cognitive growth. Your expertise will help lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning while ensuring each child's safety and well-being. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on toddler care, literacy education, early intervention, and social skills. Lead daily classroom activities that promote exploration, creativity, and physical development aligned with childhood development standards. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and nurturing environment. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's individual needs. Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and standardized testing results to monitor growth and inform instruction. Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and licensing requirements at all times. Support fellow teachers by sharing best practices in curriculum development, classroom management, and early childhood education strategies. Experience 2 years prior classroom experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is required; experience specifically with toddlers is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, including early intervention strategies and special education accommodations. Proven ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and Montessori methods when applicable. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, team members, and administrators. Experience with classroom management tools, standardized testing procedures for young children, and tutoring or teaching physical education is advantageous. Familiarity with early childhood education frameworks such as Montessori or preschool curricula enhances your ability to create enriching learning experiences.
