Job Details:

Monday through Friday, 8AM to 3PM (35 hrs. per week) We are looking for an experienced and caring preschool teacher. You will collaborate with our assistant teachers to prepare children for school both academically and socially, in a classroom environment that fosters learning and compassion.

Duties Include:

Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing lesson plans and classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards. Plan and execute compelling, age-appropriate daily lessons that encourage learning growth. Plan individual and group activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth. Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences. Ensure a healthy classroom environment, centered on the safety and security of children, including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards. Supervise the preschool students during gross motor activities: playing on playground equipment, riding bicycles, and taking walks as a group. Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement. Maintain accurate records, forms, and files. Ensure all preschool policies and state regulations are met. Requirements•: Bachelors' Degree in early childhood education or related field of study Minimum 2 years' experience in a child-care facility or preschool Copies of updated clearances (FBI fingerprint, Child Abuse, and Criminal Background) will be required upon hiring

CPR / AED

certification (preferred) •If the position is offered, the candidate will be required to complete the "Protecting God's Students" training through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia within one month of hire.
