Job Description

Overview:
Calling all childcare center staff-Amazing Kidz Academy LLC has full time and part time classroom positions available to love, nurture and teach our little learners from infants-school age. If you are looking for a position and you have childcare center experience we want to meet you!
Job Description:
  • Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and imaginative play.
  • Attend to children's basic needs.
  • Teach basic skills such as colors, shapes, numbers, and letter recognition, as well as personal hygiene and social skills.
  • Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
  • Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' interests.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime
  • Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. Identify signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss with supervisors, parents or guardians, and child development specialists.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive learning environment
  • Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
  • Assimilate arriving children to the school environment by greeting them, helping them remove outerwear, and selecting activities of interest to them.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and communicate those objectives to children.
  • Organize and label materials, and display students' work.
  • Arrange indoor and outdoor space to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities and safety.
  • Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
  • Read books to entire classes and small groups.
  • Demonstrate activities to children.
  • Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instructions, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
  • Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum:
    CDA,Associates/Bachelor's degrees a plus
  • At least 2 years of documented childcare center experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Must be able to get PA criminal background check, child abuse, NSOR, FBI fingerprinting, and approved Physical with a negative TB test, Photo ID, and letters of reference.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
  • Must meet PA 327 childcare regulation guidelines for the role.
Skills:
All staff must have the ability to lift at least 30 pounds, pivot quickly, be able to sit on the floor with children or in a chair to be on the children's level, and respond quickly to prevent injury. Compensation is based on education and experience. At Amazing Kidz, we make early education joyful, engaging, and fun so children are happy to learn, play and grow.
