Job Description

!!Looking for a 6:15am-2pm Infant Teacher and a 7:30am-3:30pm One-Year Old Teacher Mondays-Fridays!! The Lead Teacher will manage the classroom, create age-appropriate curriculum, conduct assessments and interact with families to provide a safe, supportive and challenging educational environment for children. Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule per the Kids Corner curriculum and programming. Plans with a member of the Leadership Team the parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations. Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence. Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior. Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions. Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Kids Corner Handbook. Assisting in other capacities that the Director, or designee, determines is necessary. Qualifications Minimum Associate Degree in early childhood, or related field Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field (preferred). At least two years of experience teaching preschoolers. Strong knowledge of child development, early education curriculum and child assessment. The desire to continually learn new skills and techniques and to remain current in the field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively as a team member and to establish positive relationships with families. Must meet all state requirements for lead teacher qualifications and clearances including background checks. CPR/ First Aid Certification is preferred.
