As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes childhood development, literacy, and social-emotional skills. Your expertise will help create an enriching experience for children, ensuring their early education journey is both joyful and impactful. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead curriculum development, implement innovative teaching strategies, and collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs. Duties Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and other pedagogical approaches Manage classroom activities to promote positive behavior, engagement, and learning through effective behavior management techniques Utilize learning technology and educational tools to enhance instructional delivery and student participation Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for children with special needs or developmental disabilities Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support children with autism, disabilities, or those requiring early intervention services Maintain detailed records of child progress, behavior reports, and communication logs to inform ongoing instruction and family updates Lead classroom team members by providing mentorship, training on classroom management strategies, and guidance on curriculum development Qualifications Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children in early childhood settings or preschool environments Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, special education practices, and behavioral therapy techniques Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable Familiarity with learning technology tools, standardized testing procedures, and lesson planning methodologies Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists Childcare or preschool experience complemented by certifications in early intervention or speech therapy is preferred Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that support literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth Commitment to child welfare, inclusive education practices, and fostering a positive classroom environment
