Early Childhood Teacher

We are seeking creative, dedicated educators to lead our (1)Infant/Toddler & (2)Preschool/ Pre-K classrooms. You will be responsible for the "big picture" of the classroom—from the physical safety of the children to the intellectual spark provided by your daily lessons.

Key Responsibilities Lesson Planning & Instruction:

Design and implement weekly lesson plans that align with developmental milestones (literacy, numeracy, social-emotional learning, and motor skills).

Curriculum Development:

Adapt activities to meet the individual needs and interests of the children in your care.

Safety & Hygiene:

Ensure children are safe, well-fed, and clean; this includes diapering/toileting, grooming, and preparing snacks.

Classroom Management:

Model and encourage positive social skills, conflict resolution, and self-regulation.

Observation & Reporting:

Document each child's progress and keep parents updated through regular communication and progress reports.

Environment Upkeep:

Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging "interactive area" throughout the day.

Professionalism:

Participate in 24 hours of annual professional development. Typical duties include but not limited to Ensure that children are safe and that their everyday needs are met - this may include diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Plan and oversee daily schedules for the children to maintain throughout the day Monitor and report on developmental or safety concerns. Maintaining contact with the children's parents and contacting them in the case of an emergency Cleaning interactive areas throughout the day Qualifications High School Diploma (required) CDA or Associate's in ECE (preferred) Prior experience working with children in a licensed setting (preferred) Ability to pass Federal & State background checks (required) Meet state health requirements - Immunization Records (required) Live in the state of RI (preferred) A genuine passion for working in
