Dog Grooming/Daycare Assistant

Responsibilities Assist with dog grooming tasks including bathing, brushing, and drying to ensure pets look and feel their best Supervise and engage dogs during daycare activities, promoting socialization and good behavior through positive reinforcement techniques Handle animals safely using proper restraint methods to prevent injury or stress during grooming or playtime Monitor pet health and behavior, reporting any concerns or signs of illness to senior staff as needed Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, play areas, kennels, and common spaces to uphold hygiene standards Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs, progress, and special instructions Support with heavy lifting of supplies or animals when necessary to ensure smooth daily operations Requirements Prior experience with dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus Familiarity with veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles enhances your ability to support health-related needs Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively during grooming or health assessments Strong animal handling skills combined with patience and compassion for pets of all temperaments Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and team members Physical ability to lift heavy objects or animals as required for daily tasks Previous kennel experience or pet sitting background is beneficial but not mandatory Join us in creating a joyful environment where pets feel loved, cared for, and happy!
