Early Interventionist Peek-A-Boo Early Intervention, LLC Charleston, SC Job Details Part-time | Full-time $23 - $29 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Flexible schedule Qualifications Physical development (child development components) Toddler care Social-emotional development (child development components) Working with children with disabilities Full Job Description We are seeking Full-time and Part-Time dedicated and compassionate Early Interventionists to support young children with developmental delays and disabilities. This role involves working closely with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote early childhood development through tailored interventions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, special education, or related fields, along with excellent communication. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives by fostering growth in social-emotional skills, communication and overall developmental milestones. Duties Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessments of each child's needs. Utilize curriculum development principles and learning technology to create engaging treatment plans for babies and toddlers. Conduct one-on-one focusing on literacy education, cognitive skills, communication skills, and/or social-emotional development. Collaborate with families to provide guidance on childhood development and strategies for supporting learning at home. Maintain detailed documentation of progress. Incorporate intervention strategies and coaching to families to meet the childs individual needs. Engage in ongoing professional development related to behavior management and developmentmal skills. Coordinate with other professionals such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and childcare providers to support comprehensive care plans. Participate in community outreach programs to promote early childhood development initiatives. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential; classroom experience is highly valued. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, and instructional design for early learners. Experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and community partners. Background in special education, literacy education, and /or preschool teaching enhances candidacy. Proven ability to manage child effectively while implementing behavior management strategies to promote development milestones.
Pay:
$23.00 - $29.00 per hour
