Job Description

🌟 Lead Teacher - Infant Classroom (6wks to 16 mths)
Location:
The Learning Experience, Columbia Schedule:
9am-6pm, Monday-Friday (full availability required)
Compensation:
$15-$16/hr, based on experience Lead Our Infant Classroom With Heart and Purpose We're seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Lead Teacher to guide our Infant classroom (ages 6wks to 16 mths). If you're passionate about early development, love supporting little ones as they build independence, and enjoy creating hands‑on learning experiences, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact every day. What You'll Do Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment Support daily care routines, including diapering, feeding, and smooth transitions Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and fellow staff Observe, document, and communicate developmental progress and classroom behaviors Model professionalism, positivity, and leadership within the classroom community What We're Looking For Experience working with infants (6wks to 16 mths), preferably in a lead role Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset Flexibility to work within the center's 9:00 AM-6:00 PM operating hours Education in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus Has or will obtain the 15‑hour South Carolina Health & Safety Certification (free) before orientation day Has or will obtain First Aid/CPR certification A nurturing, patient, and energetic approach to early learning Why You'll Love Working With Us Supportive, team‑focused environment Opportunities for ongoing training and professional growth A meaningful role where you help shape foundational early‑learning skills This position is subject to all applicable state licensing requirements.
