Full Job Description Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Option for additional hours on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as a gym/music teacher for our 3 year old classes. About Us Central Downtown Preschool is a nurturing early childhood program dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. Everything we do is centered around our faith in Jesus Christ and loving children and families in His name. Position Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and caring Preschool Head Teacher to lead a classroom of young learners. The Head Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a preschool curriculum, directing the assistant classroom teacher, fostering positive relationships with families, and ensuring a safe and welcoming learning environment. The position is to teach two classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3:00 p.m. These classes are the same age children with different students in each class. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. Create a positive and engaging classroom environment. Supervise and mentor the assistant teacher. Monitor and assess children's developmental progress. This includes knowledge testing and parent-teacher conferences two times a year. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and center policies. Promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Collaborate with administration and fellow staff members to support program goals. Teach the gospel of Jesus Christ through Bible learning, music, and prayer. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of preschool teaching experience preferred. Strong classroom management and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Organizational skills in lesson planning and implementing. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth. For information on salary or questions about the position, email
