Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Preschool Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, promote positive behavior, and support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of preschool children. Your role is vital in creating a safe, inclusive space where children can explore, learn, and thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, collaborate with families and staff, and make a lasting impact on children's early educational experiences. Duties Develop and execute innovative lesson plans aligned with Tennesse's early childhood education standards. Lead classroom activities that promote childhood development milestones while managing daily routines such as circle time, play-based learning, and nap schedules. Implement effective classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and create a respectful learning environment. Engage with families through regular communication about child welfare, progress reports, and individualized learning plans. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and childcare staff to ensure high-quality preschool experience for all children. Maintain accurate records of student progress, standardized testing results, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing requirements. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience is essential. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and behavior management strategies. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate age-appropriate activities for toddlers and preschoolers. Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood programs. Pay:
$34,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
