Position Type:
Part-Time Contract Position Sundays:
10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. & 4:30-6:30 p.m. One weekday evening (rotating): 6:00-8:00 p.m. Additional services/events as needed Minimum compensation is $14.00 per hour.

Position Summary The Nursery Teacher provides loving, dependable care for infants through age 4 in a safe and joyful environment. This role helps introduce young children to the love of Jesus and the beliefs, values, and practices of the UMC through simple, age-appropriate activities and curriculum. The Right Fit 18 years old or older. Experience caring for infants and/or young children Personal Christian faith Genuine love for children Dependable and team-oriented Ability to model kindness, patience, and care Must be able to pass a background check Safe Sanctuaries training preferred CPR certification preferred Key Responsibilities Provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment Meet basic care needs (feeding, diapering, comforting) Lead simple, age-appropriate activities and curriculum Communicate clearly with parents and staff Maintain an organized nursery space Follow provided guidance and curriculum Other duties as assigned To Apply Please submit a cover letter and resume to: Pastor Evelyn - www.stjohnumc.org 423.892.2257
