- Clarksville, TN Part-Time | Monday-Friday | Approximately 2:00 or 3:00 PM-6:15 PM Help Children End Their Day Feeling Safe, Loved, and Successful Thrive Early Learning Center is seeking a dependable, energetic, and nurturing Closing Floater Teacher to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well with children of all ages, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As our Closing Floater, you'll support classrooms throughout the afternoon, assist with transitions, provide breaks for teachers, and help ensure our center closes safely and smoothly each day. If you're flexible, positive, and enjoy making a difference wherever you're needed, we'd love to meet you! What You'll Do Support classrooms with children ages 6 weeks through School Age as needed Assist with afternoon activities, supervision, and classroom transitions Help maintain safe teacher-to-child ratios throughout the day Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members Help children feel secure and engaged during late afternoon pick-up Assist with diapering, toileting, meals, snacks, and classroom routines Clean and sanitize toys, materials, and classrooms before closing Complete daily closing responsibilities to ensure classrooms are ready for the next day Follow all Tennessee Child Care Licensing regulations and Thrive policies Step into different classrooms with a positive, team-first attitude We're Looking For Someone Who Is Reliable and consistently punctual Flexible and comfortable working with multiple age groups Patient, kind, and nurturing Energetic and able to stay engaged with children throughout the afternoon A strong communicator who works well with others Able to remain calm and professional in busy environments Passionate about providing exceptional care for children Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 18 years old Previous child care experience preferred (but we're willing to train the right person) Ability to pass all Tennessee Child Care Licensing background requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively supervise children indoors and outdoors Why Thrive?
