Daycare Assistant/Floater

Job Summary Join our early childhood education team as a Daycare Assistant/Floater! In this role, you will provide essential support across multiple classrooms, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. Your energetic and flexible approach will help maintain smooth daily operations, assist lead teachers, and foster positive developmental experiences for every child. Duties Support classroom activities by assisting teachers with lesson plans, activities, and supervision of children during play, meals, and rest times Float between classrooms to provide coverage where needed, ensuring consistent care and attention for all children Help create a safe and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being Assist with diapering, feeding, and personal care routines for infants and toddlers Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and developmentally appropriate conduct Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and play areas to ensure a hygienic environment Experience Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar setting is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is highly desirable Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; we will provide the training and certification upon completion of the class Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies enhances effectiveness in this role Prior experience in toddler care or infant care settings will be considered an asset Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining flexibility across multiple classrooms Join us in creating joyful learning experiences!
