Job Description

Children's Center of Knoxville is seeking a passionate, experienced, and nurturing Young Toddler Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM As the Young Toddler Lead Teacher, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for toddlers while leading classroom operations, supporting staff, and building strong relationships with families.
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and classroom activities Complete developmental assessments and maintain daily communication with families Ensure compliance with Tennessee childcare licensing regulations Supervise and support assistant educators, substitutes, interns, and volunteers Maintain a safe, healthy, and positive classroom environment Conduct parent conferences and communicate children's progress Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development Participate in staff meetings, training, and center events
Qualifications:
Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, CDA, or Early Childhood Certification preferred Minimum of 2 years of childcare experience with children ages 6 weeks-5 years CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with families and staff
Requirements:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
