The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curriculum, managing classroom activities, and supporting the individual needs of each child to promote their growth and development. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that fosters learning in literacy, math, and physical education. Create lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those requiring special education or early intervention strategies. Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all children. Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions among students. Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, progress, and any concerns that may arise. Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met throughout the day. Collaborate with other educators to share best practices in childcare and early childhood education. Maintain a clean and organized classroom that reflects a welcoming atmosphere for children. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential. Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual responsibilities.
