Job Description
This is a role for someone passionate about Early Childhood Education! At Equally Created, we strive to have a hardworking and passionate team, advancement opportunities, plus friendly co-workers and families that will value you and your hard work. The educator helps to create a caring and safe environment for the children and collaborates in infant schedules and activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. They must be able to communicate, listen, be reliable, and work well with others in a team environment. We are looking for someone passionate about Early Childhood and the impact it has on children's futures.
Key Responsibilities Basic Care and Needs:
Attend to infants and toddlers' basic needs, including feeding, diapering, and nap time routines. Encourage age-appropriate development through serve and return interactions and planned activities.Effective Communication:
Establish open lines of communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on children's activities, milestones, and any concerns. Partner with families to create and maintain schedules for feeding, sleeping and working to meet developmental milestones. Collaborate with colleagues and directors, attend team meetings, and actively contribute to a supportive teaching environment.Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and secure classroom environment. Follow milk and bottle safety precautions and the use of age-appropriate equipment. Implement emergency procedures as required.Child-Centered Learning:
Facilitate social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging and age-appropriate activities. Create a stimulating and safe learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity.Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement creative and play-based lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of children, in accordance with child-led, trauma-informed, and Conscious Discipline curriculum. Foster language development, motor skills, and social interactions through carefully designed activities. Collaborate with the Program Specialist and co-educators for monthly lesson planning.Professional Development:
Participate in continuous professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in toddler education. Stay informed of relevant research and trends in early childhood education.Team Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with fellow teachers, directors, and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Contribute to a positive team culture that fosters collaboration and mutual support. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required Professional childcare experience with infants/toddlers. High energy. Ability to work well with others. Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. An understanding of early child development. Dependability. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Must clear a full background check and must pass a health screening. Educational Requirements High School Diploma or GED AA or bachelor's Degree preferred but not necessary A willingness to pursue further education and training to grow and develop in a chosen profession Physical Requirements Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls, and talk to and hear voices at many levels. You may also be required to kneel, bend, squat, or crawl. A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.Job Type:
