This role is essential in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood, behavior management, and lesson planning, with a strong commitment to supporting the developmental needs of children in a child care center setting. Responsibilities Provide support in the classroom each day with giving teachers lunch breaks, cleaning classrooms and meal areas, aide in daily activities and experiences. Support teachers with implementation of engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and overall child development. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Utilize behavior management techniques to support children's social and emotional growth. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience. Provide individualized support to students based on their unique needs and learning styles. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Stay current with early childhood education trends and best practices, including minimum standards. Requirements Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential. Strong background in early childhood education and after school. Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored for young learners. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with students and families.
