Lead Teacher

Heritage Christian Daycare Center has served the Alvin community since 1982 — and we're growing. We're looking for a dedicated Lead Teacher who loves children, thrives in a structured and nurturing environment, and is ready to grow with us. What you'll do Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities for your assigned age group Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment Supervise assistant teachers and guide daily classroom routines Communicate regularly with parents through our Brightwheel app Complete required documentation (attendance, incident reports, meal counts) Participate in ongoing staff training and Texas Rising Star quality initiatives What we're looking for High school diploma or GED required; CDA, college coursework in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent experience preferred Prior experience in a licensed childcare or school setting is a plus — but not required for the right candidate Reliable, punctual, and a team player Warm and patient demeanor with children of all ages Comfortable with basic technology (smartphone, apps) Must pass a Texas DFPS background check Must meet or be willing to obtain minimum Texas Chapter 746 pre-service training requirements Why join us Supportive, faith-based work environment On-the-job training provided for qualified applicants Growing center with opportunities for advancement Consistent, full-time Monday-Friday schedule

$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
