Pre-K Assistant Do you love working with children and want to be part of a fun, supportive team? Firefly Academy is looking for a caring, dependable Pre-K Classroom Assistant to join our preschool family! In this role, you'll work alongside our Pre-K teachers to create a positive, engaging classroom where children can learn, play, and grow. If you enjoy helping children build confidence, independence, and a love of learning, we'd love to meet you!Schedule:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays
- 8:30 AM - 2:30
PM What You'll Do:
- Assist the lead teachers with daily classroom activities
- Help supervise children during centers, indoor and outdoor play, lunch, and transitions
- Work with small groups and individual children
- Prepare classroom materials and learning activities
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Encourage positive behavior using gentle guidance
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Patient, kind, and nurturing (A MUST!)
- Dependable and punctual
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Energetic and ready to engage with young children
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds and keep up with an active preschool classroom
- A high school graduate or equivalent
- Able to pass a background check!
