About Us:
At Amazing Grace Learning Academy, we are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. We care for children from diverse backgrounds, many of whom face behavioral challenges. Our faith-based childcare center is rooted in love, care, and structured learning to foster growth and support every child. Job Description:
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and structured learning environment for children. You will lead age-appropriate activities, provide care, and work closely with children who may have behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Provide supervision and care for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, ensuring safety at all times. Assist with diaper changing, potty training, and maintaining hygiene routines for younger children. Provide positive behavior guidance to children facing behavioral challenges. Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and support staff regarding the progress and needs of the children. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean classroom environment. Follow all state licensing requirements and center policies. Be open to working different shifts and schedules as needed. Be open to working in different classrooms everyday. Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions as required.
Qualifications :
Must be 18 years or older. High School Diploma or GED (Required); CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Preferred). Previous experience working with children who have behavioral challenges (Highly Preferred). CPR and First Aid Certification (Required or willing to obtain). A genuine passion for working with children, demonstrating patience, compassion, and dedication to their growth. Strong classroom management skills, especially in handling behavioral challenges. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
