Are you a teacher at heart who enjoys creating joyful moments and helping children feel confident in their bodies? Kinderdance and Fitness Hill Country is growing, and we're looking for warm, reliable, and energetic instructors to teach our Kindermotion classes—physical education, dance, and creative movement for children ages 2-8 - right at their schools and child care centers throughout South Austin and Hays County.. This role is a great fit for educators who want meaningful, consistent part-time teaching without the demands of a full-time classroom. What Teaching With Kinderdance Looks Like Our instructors typically teach at two or more locations per week.
This means:
Classes run in morning and afternoon time blocks , such as: 9:00-11:30 AM, 2:15-5:15 PM You arrive at one school or center Teach several 30 to 45 minute classes Have built-in time for transition, setup, and wrap up And head to your next part of the day feeling accomplished, not rushed. Once your schedule is set, it stays consistent week to week , so you know exactly what to expect. About the Classes Kinderdance classes blend: physical education creative movement music, dance, and imagination age-appropriate skill building Lessons are designed to support motor development, listening skills, confidence, and joyful learning through purposeful play, dance and tumbling . You don't need to be a professional dancer. You do need to enjoy movement and genuinely love working with young children. We provide full training, curriculum, and ongoing support. This Role Is a Great Fit If You… Love teaching and connecting with children ages 2-8 Have 2 + years experience in teaching, early childhood education, childcare, or youth programs Bring positive energy, patience, and a playful spirit into the room Value consistency and clear expectations Are looking for part-time work that fits into a full life , not full-time hours Enjoy being part of a supportive team that communicates and collaborates Many of our instructors are: former or retired educators early childhood teachers teaching artists education, theater, or dance majors stay-at-home parents staying connected to their craft Schedule & Availability Current needs are primarily: Afternoon teaching times , especially Tuesdays and Thursdays Daytime opportunities as we finalize our Fall schedule You let us know your availability, and we match you to locations and times that fit.
