Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant team as a Child Care Assistant and Food Service provider, where your energy and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. In this dynamic role, you will support early childhood development by creating a safe, nurturing environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. You will also assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring nutritious and appealing food options are available to promote healthy growth and development. Duties Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Assist with classroom management to maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment for children Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed Support early childhood education initiatives by implementing curriculum activities aligned with developmental milestones Prepare, serve, and clean up nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards Monitor children during meal times to encourage good manners and healthy eating habits Maintain cleanliness of food service areas while adhering to health regulations and safety protocols Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and other staff to ensure consistent care and support for all children Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in caregiving and teaching Experience with classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior management Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as special education or working with individuals with disabilities are advantageous Familiarity with infant care routines, toddler care strategies, and preschool activities is desirable Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs in a nurturing manner Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, parents, and guardians This role is perfect for compassionate individuals passionate about supporting children's growth while providing essential food services. $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
