Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join our team! The Lead Infant Teacher is responsible for creating a warm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months. This role includes planning engaging activities, communicating effectively with families, and supporting the growth and well-being of each child in your care.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, consistent, and loving care to each infant in your classroom. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote sensory exploration, motor development, and early language skills. Integrate simple STEAM activities, sign language, and Spanish words into daily routines. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that follows all health and safety regulations. Complete daily reports and communicate with families regarding feedings, diapering, naps, and developmental milestones. Observe and document each child's growth, milestones, and developmental progress. Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to ensure smooth classroom operations and a positive team environment. Uphold licensing standards and center policies at all times.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED (CDA or higher preferred). Minimum of 1 year of experience working with infants in a licensed child care center. Knowledge of infant development, responsive caregiving, and safe sleep practices. Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate activities. Strong communication, teamwork, and organization skills. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Must pass all background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
Schedule:
Full-time position preferred Hours scheduled within 6:30am to 6:00pm
