Department Center for Early Learning Position Type Non-Exempt Employment Status Part-Time Salary Minimum $10.00 Per Hour Open Date 11/12/2025 Close Date Open Until Filled No Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The purpose of this position is to provide support services for the Child Development/Early Childhood Program and the Center for Early Learning. Minimum Qualifications Twelve (12) college credit hours in Child Development or Early Education. Six (6) months experience in a licensed early childhood program (ages 0-5 years). Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification (documentation of current certification is required prior to first day of employment). Negative TB Test (documentation of current certification is required prior to first day of employment) . Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge of Minimum Standards of Child Care Centers. Knowledge of principles and practices of high quality early childhood programs. Ability to communicate professionally with students, staff, parents and Del Mar College faculty. Maintaining confidentiality of children and staff information. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Child Development/Early Childhood. One year experience in a NAEYC accredited early childhood program. Job Duty Assisting and/or guiding students enrolled in Child Development courses requiring early childhood classroom observations.
