Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Daycare Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This energetic role offers the opportunity to support and enhance the learning experiences of children across various age groups, from infants to preschoolers. As a Daycare Floater, you will serve as a flexible and dependable team member, stepping into different classrooms as needed to ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Your enthusiasm and adaptability will help create a positive atmosphere where children can thrive, learn, and develop essential social and cognitive skills. This paid position is perfect for someone passionate about working with children and eager to gain diverse classroom experience in a lively daycare setting. Responsibilities Provide high-quality care and supervision for children across multiple age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Assist lead teachers with daily activities, including playtime, educational exercises, meal times, diapering, and nap routines. Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment that promotes positive behavior and development. Adapt quickly to different classroom needs by stepping into various roles as assigned by supervisors or lead teachers. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster growth in areas such as childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts. Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures and health guidelines to ensure the well-being of every child. Communicate effectively with team members and parents to share updates on children's progress or concerns. Able to clean, prepare lunches, and help out around the building when not in a room. Experience MUST have a high school diploma or GED Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and classroom management techniques is beneficial. Experience with infant care, toddler care, or preschool activities will help you excel in this role. Familiarity with behavior management strategies and working with children with diverse needs or disabilities is advantageous. Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus; ongoing training in childhood development or special education is welcomed but not required. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in dynamic environments while maintaining patience and enthusiasm for working with young children.
