We believe that even our youngest learners deserve meaningful experiences that support their growth, development, and curiosity. We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and engaging Infant Teacher to join our team. Position Summary The Infant Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 18 months. The ideal candidate understands that infant care is more than supervision. It is about building secure relationships, supporting developmental milestones, and providing enriching experiences throughout the day. Responsibilities Provide attentive and responsive care to infants Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Follow individual feeding, sleeping, and diapering schedules Support developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities Engage infants in sensory exploration, music and movement, language development, and gross motor activities Read books, sing songs, and participate in meaningful interactions throughout the day Accurately document feedings, diaper changes, naps, and classroom activities through Brightwheel Take high-quality photos that document children's learning and development Maintain open and professional communication with families Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and safe sleep requirements Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership team to provide exceptional care Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Experience working with strongly infants preferred CDA, early childhood coursework, or related experience preferred Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and actively engage with children Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependable attendance and punctuality What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Genuinely enjoys working with infants Is patient, nurturing, and responsive Understands child development Can create engaging learning experiences throughout the day Takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized classroom Is dependable and committed to providing consistent care for children and families Works well in a collaborative team environment Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off for eligible employees Professional development opportunities Supportive leadership team Why Highland Forest?
