Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant educational team as an Assistant Educator, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a nurturing environment for children and students. In this role, you will support lead educators in implementing engaging activities, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring a safe, inclusive space for learning and growth. Your energy and commitment will inspire young minds, promote positive development, and contribute to a dynamic educational atmosphere that encourages curiosity and confidence. Monday through Friday 9am to 2pm. Duties Assist lead educators in planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote childhood development and learning. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies. Help supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and special events such or theater performances. Ensure safety protocols are followed by maintaining a clean, organized environment and applying first aid when necessary. Engage with children through tutoring, storytelling, arts and crafts, sports coaching, or theatrical activities to foster creativity and social skills. Collaborate with team members to monitor children's progress and communicate observations to parents or guardians as needed. Support special education needs by adapting activities to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring, or babysitting is highly desirable. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Strong understanding of behavior management strategies to support positive interactions among children. Experience working with children with special needs or in early childhood education settings is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Preference given for applicants with Bachelor's degree.

$11.00 per hour
