As our Assistant Director, you'll play a vital role in bringing that vision to life while helping lead one of the premier early childhood education programs. What You'll Do As Assistant Director, you'll partner closely with the Director to lead daily operations while creating an exceptional experience for every child, family, and team member. Leadership & Operations Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the school Ensure compliance with all Texas Child Care Licensing, health, and safety regulations Support staffing, scheduling, classroom ratios, and daily campus operations Maintain licensing records, documentation, and operational excellence Assist with billing, reporting, and childcare management systems (Procare experience preferred) People Leadership Recruit, onboard, mentor, and coach exceptional educators Foster a positive, collaborative, and growth-focused team culture Support teacher development through coaching and ongoing feedback Model PREP's leadership standards, professionalism, and culture every day Family Experience Build meaningful relationships with current and prospective families Conduct school tours and enrollment meetings Support enrollment growth and family retention initiatives Provide exceptional communication and customer service that exceeds expectations Educational Excellence Support curriculum implementation and classroom quality Ensure every classroom reflects PREP's high standards for learning, safety, and engagement Partner with teachers to create inspiring learning environments where every child can thrive Who You Are You are someone who... Leads with integrity, kindness, and confidence Believes relationships always come first Is highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment Loves supporting and developing teachers Has exceptional communication and leadership skills Is passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for children and families Takes initiative and enjoys solving problems Wants to grow with an innovative and rapidly expanding organization Qualifications Minimum 2 years of management experience in a licensed childcare center (leadership experience preferred) High School Diploma or GED required CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Strong understanding of Texas Child Care Licensing standards Experience with staffing, scheduling, enrollment, and family engagement Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and childcare management software (Procare preferred) Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills Ability to successfully pass a background check Why PREP?
