Child Care Worker Responsibilities:

Providing care for children, such as following schedules and routines, grooming, feeding, changing diapers, and cleaning rooms and toys. Developing and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, etc. Maintaining a safe workplace by monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff and parents. Ensuring children are learning positive behaviors and providing guidance or approved discipline, as needed. Punctuality, positive attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and willingness to follow direction from supervising staff is a must. Keeping records relating to child care. Maintain organization and cleanliness in the play areas. Ability and willingness to clean facility, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, washing dishes, cleaning restrooms when needed, and other various duties. Must be able to, and willing, to create home-style, nutritional meals in line with the Childcare menu, set up by the Director. Effective communication with parents and staff. Transportation of children to and from school.

Child Care Worker Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license. Valid CPR and first-aid certifications Ability, patience, and stamina to chase after, lift, or carry children. Record of immunizations and the ability to pass a background check. Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with parents through an electronic device. Flexibility to adjust schedules and duties according to the needs of the Child Care.
