Job Description

Job Overview Dani Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and certified Montessori Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and academically enriching classroom environment that aligns beautifully with authentic Montessori principles. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for early childhood development, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning in every child.
Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Management & Instruction Montessori Implementation:
Plan, prepare, and deliver authentic Montessori lessons tailored to the individual developmental needs and pace of each child.
Prepared Environment:
Maintain a clean, orderly, beautiful, and stimulating classroom environment with complete, age-appropriate Montessori materials.
Observation & Record Keeping:
Carefully observe, track, and document each child's progress, interests, and developmental milestones to guide their individual learning path.
Safety & Supervision:
Ensure a safe, peaceful, and respectful classroom culture, maintaining strict supervision and adherence to childcare licensing safety ratios at all times.
Family & Community Engagement Parent Communication:
Maintain open, positive, and professional communication with families through daily updates, newsletters, and progress reports.
Parent-Teacher Conferences:
Conduct regular conferences to discuss child development, milestones, and how parents can support Montessori principles at home.
Collaboration & Professionalism Team Leadership:
Guide and mentor classroom assistants, fostering a collaborative, positive, and cohesive classroom team.
School Culture:
Participate actively in staff meetings, school community events, and continuous professional development workshops.
Skills & QualificationsRequired Experience & Education Montessori Certification:
An authentic Montessori teaching credential from an accredited body (e.g., AMS, AMI, MACTE) is required.
Educational Background:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience leading a classroom in a licensed childcare center or Montessori environment.
Key Competencies Deep Pedagogy Knowledge:
Thorough understanding of Montessori philosophy, material sequencing, and child development stages.
Classroom Management:
Ability to maintain a calm, peaceful, and productive classroom dynamic through positive guidance techniques.
Communication Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for building trust with parents and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
Patience & Adaptability:
A warm, patient demeanor with the flexibility to adapt to the unique behavioral and learning needs of young children.
Pay:
$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
