Infant/Pre-K Aid Killeen, TX 76542 $9.00 - $10.50 an hour - Part-time $9.00 - $10.50 an hour - Part-time Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Infant/Pre-K Aid, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture young minds during their most formative years. In this rewarding role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and loving environment for infants and preschoolers. Your passion for working with children and commitment to their development will make a meaningful difference in their lives, fostering growth, curiosity, and joy every day. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for infants and pre-kindergarten children Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment that encourages exploration and learning Engage children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational exercises that stimulate early childhood development Monitor children's behavior with patience and positive reinforcement while ensuring safety at all times Collaborate with team members to track developmental milestones and communicate observations about each child's progress Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage positively with children and families Passion for caregiving, nurturing young learners, and supporting their growth through structured activities and play Embark on a fulfilling career where your caring nature helps shape the future of our youngest learners.
