In this dynamic role, you will create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that foster creativity, curiosity, and foundational skills in literacy, math, and physical education. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and positive behavior management. Engage children in activities that support childhood development milestones, including language acquisition, social skills, and motor skills. Incorporate specialized techniques such as Montessori methods or early intervention strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives. Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to daycare or preschool standards. Use assessment tools and standardized testing to monitor developmental progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and preschool best practices. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored for pre-kindergarten learners. Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Proficiency in literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education activities suitable for young children. Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues clearly and positively. Familiarity with classroom experience in daycare or private school settings is preferred. Knowledge of Montessori methods or other educational philosophies that support toddler care and preschool learning environments.
