What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent (ECE coursework preferred) At least 2 years of experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting Ability to lift, carry, bend, sit on the floor, and move quickly to meet toddlers' needs Strong communication skills with families and team members A warm, nurturing personality with patience, consistency, and compassion
What You'll Do:
Create a safe, calm, and engaging classroom that supports toddlers' need for routine, exploration, and connection Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support language development, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and sensory exploration Maintain accurate documentation including attendance, daily reports, food program records, milestone tracking, and incident reports using Brightwheel or similar software Use positive guidance and responsive caregiving practices, including Conscious Discipline, to support emotional regulation and early social skills Collaborate closely with co-teachers and leadership to ensure consistency and high-quality care Meet toddlers' basic needs with care and respect, including diapering, handwashing, feeding, naptime, and emotional comfort At Sunshine Daycare , we're not just hiring a teacher — we're welcoming a nurturing guide, a trusted caregiver, and a partner in a child's earliest learning journey.
