Job Description

Friends of First | The Woodlands First - North Campus Friends of First is a brand-new part-time preschool program launching this fall at The Woodlands First North Campus. We are seeking loving, faith-filled teachers who feel called to serve young children and their families during these important early years. Our program is designed to provide a gentle introduction to preschool through intentional learning, meaningful relationships, and Christ-centered experiences. We serve children ages 20 months through 4 years old as of September 1, 2026. Schedule Mondays & Wednesdays Students attend from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM Teachers arrive at 8:45 AM and typically finish by 12:15 PM Responsibilities Lead and care for children ages 20 months through 4 years old Implement age-appropriate curriculum and learning objectives Facilitate circle time, crafts, sensory activities, and outdoor play Create a warm, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment Communicate professionally and positively with families Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff Support children's social, emotional, spiritual, and academic growth Qualifications A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to lead children to Him A heart for serving young children and their families Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Previous experience in childcare, preschool, education, or ministry is preferred CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification Benefits Employee tuition discount at Friends of First Small class sizes and low teacher-to-student ratios A supportive, faith-based work environment School holidays and summers off The opportunity to help build and shape a brand-new program from the ground up What Makes Friends of First Different?
