The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting young children's growth and development while creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment. This position is responsible for planning and leading age-appropriate activities, implementing curriculum that promotes developmental milestones, and partnering with families to ensure each child's individual needs are met. The Lead Toddler Teacher will play an important role in providing positive early learning experiences and helping toddlers build a strong foundation for future success. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones. Supervise and guide classroom activities to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of toddlers. Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviors, and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and daily activities. Collaborate with team members to plan special events, outings, or activities that enhance the learning experience. Adhere to all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and health guidelines including first aid procedures. Provide mentorship and support to assistant teachers or caregivers in the classroom setting. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting is desired. Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices related to infants and toddlers. Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified. Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus but not required. Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively. Demonstrated ability to create a nurturing, inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs. Passion for early childhood education and commitment to fostering positive developmental outcomes for young children.
