Job Description

Curriculum & Development:
Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based activities that support cognitive, physical, and language development.
Classroom Environment:
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment that encourages exploration and independence.
Personal Care:
Oversee personal hygiene and daily routines, including diapering/toileting, feeding, and nap times.
Behavior Management:
Use positive discipline and redirection techniques to model appropriate social behavior, conflict resolution, and self-expression.
Parent Communication:
Build strong relationships with families by providing daily updates, progress reports, and guidance on developmental milestones.
Teamwork:
Supervise assistant teachers or aides and collaborate with program administrators.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Typically requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, though most employers prefer or require a Child Development Associate (CDA) or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in early childhood education, specifically with toddlers or infants.
Certification:
CPR and First Aid certifications are typically mandatory.
Important Qualities Patience:
Working with highly energetic, developing toddlers experiencing big emotions requires immense patience.
Physical Stamina:
The job involves continuous lifting, bending, kneeling, and actively engaging with children on their level.
Communication Skills:
Must be able to clearly and compassionately communicate with both small children and concerned parents
Pay:
$13.00 - $13.50 per hour
